Description - Orange is native to China and India. However, oranges are now grown in abundance in the Americas, Israel, and the Mediterranean. The cold-pressed extraction method is used to remove the oil from the orange peel. Yet, orange oil is one of the best aromatics for the beginner and almost foolproof to use. Historically, oranges have been associated with generosity and gratitude, and symbolized innocence and fertility. This is a pleasant winter oil and may be blended with spicy oils for use in baths. It may also be added to massage oil for the digestive system and is believed to brighten dull complexions as well as encourage sleep.
Effects on the Mind - Orange oil has a variety of therapeutic uses, from relaxing mind and spirit to boosting circulation to protecting wood.
Effects on the Body - The traditional use of orange has been as an astringent, soothing agent, and skin conditioner.
