Description - Mandarin and Tangerine are both used to describe the same oil. Mandarin is used in Europe, and Tangerine in America. Tangerine has a very sweet, citrus aroma with floral backnotes.
Effects on the Mind - Tangerine is valuable in calming children, relieving stress, mental distress, relieving insomnia, and is used as a sedative.
Effects on the Body - It is very useful to deal with digestive problems including flatulence, constipation, diarrhea and nausea, as it relaxes the stomach muscles and also relieves hiccups.
Furthermore, it helps with headaches, migraines, nervous strain, fatigue and stress, as well as for the respiratory tract; helping with asthma, bronchitis, catarrh and sinusitis. On the skin it can relieve the itching of pruritus and helps with acne, dermatitis, congested skin and sore gums.

Blends Well With - Bergamot, Clary Sage, Clove, Fennel, Frankincense, Geranium, Ginger, Grapefruit, Lavender, Juniper, Lime, Marjoram, Myrrh, Orange, Nutmeg, Patchouli, Palmarosa, Rosemary, Spikenard, Sandalwood, Tea Tree, Vetiver, and Ylang-ylang.
Cautions - No known toxicity. GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe) approved by the FDA as food flavor. Avoid high concentrations in skin care, since it can cause a burning sensation and sensitation. Do not use more than 1-2 drops per 1 oz. of body care.
